Sudbury Rabbi to Register Voters in North Carolina

Rabbi David Thomas has stark memories growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina of seeing blatant racism against African-Americans. Today, as the spiritual leader of Congregation Beth-El, he is taking the fight for civil rights back to his home state to work with the NAACP to register voters in preparation for the presidential election.

A Meeting of Religions: Fellow in Jewish-Muslim Relations to Speak

Over the weekend, author Haroon Moghul plans to teach a roomful of Jews what it means to be Muslim.

“For me, this has been my way of contributing to a healthier American society,” Moghul said, “by building bridges between communities that might not know a lot about each other, and may at times be suspicious of each other or even afraid of each other.”
