About Lichora

(Rosie et al: Things in red are items you’ll probably want to update)

Lichora (“On the Face of It”) is Beth El’s magazine of the creative arts. We began in print many years ago and are now publishing continuously as a blog run by volunteers headed by Debbie Blicher, former editor of the print edition.

Beth El members, clergy, faculty, and staff are invited to submit text, photography, audio, video, etc. All subjects are welcome, though the material should be pertinent to members and friends of a liberal, inclusive American synagogue. Please limit text pieces to 2,000 words. We edit all submissions, and we reserve the right to withhold pieces that we find offensive or simply not appropriate for a synagogue literary publication. Remember, our audience includes children.

Please email submissions to lichora@bethelsudbury.org. (we may have to change this to a Gmail address)

We can’t accept anonymous work, so please include the author’s name, email address, town, and affiliation with Beth El.

Like much at Beth El, Lichora is a labor of love staffed by volunteers. If you’d like to help or if you have any questions, please contact us. (we may have to change this to a Gmail address)
