Recited at the end of services, Aleinu (literally “it’s on us” or “it’s up to us”) calls on us to discover where the brokenness of the world overlaps with our particular human gifts. Join Rabbi Tiferet Berenbaum of Temple Beth Zion in Brookline for a discussion of Aleinu in a liturgical and historical context, as well as explore how we use its charge to discover our individual role in mitigating the problems in our world.
