Calling all teachers, parents, and caregivers: Please join the Beth El Antiracism Working Group for a community read of How to Raise an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. A community read is a reading and learning experience in which a community of people interested in a particular topic come together after reading a selected book. It’s expected that each person brings with them a variety of background experiences, prior or no prior knowledge on the topic, and a breadth and depth of perspectives. The community members discuss what they learned and they use guiding questions to keep the discussion purposeful and productive.
