The b’nei/b’not mitzvah years are an exciting time at Beth El, as our sixth- and seventh-grade students get to learn both with their Beth El cohort as part of our flagship Torah Class, as well as with students from three neighboring congregations as part of the Jewish Learning Collaborative of MetroWest (JLCMW). The JLCMW program includes both Judaics and leveled Hebrew classes, taught by clergy and educators from all participating synagogues. And if that’s not enough, all sixth- and seventh-grade students are invited to participate in the nationally recognized Students Together Opposing Prejudice (S.T.O.P) program for Jewish, Muslim, and Christian teens.
